Wizkid, DJ Tunez, and DJ Maphorisa will release their cross-continental EP, “South Gidi”
Wizkid works with DJ Maphorisa and DJ Tunez on South Gidi, a three-track EP set on Thursday that mixes Afrobeats and Amapiano music.
The Nigerian Afrobeats star Wizkid has worked with DJ Maphorisa, a South African hitmaker, and DJ Tunez, who has worked with Maphorisa for a long time, on a surprise three-track EP called South Gidi. It will be available on all major streaming services at midnight on Thursday.
As part of the joint project, Money Constant was made with Mavo, Fiesta Forever was made as a Wizkid solo track, and Abangani was made with South African singer Daliwonga. It is a lively mix of Afrobeats and Amapiano sounds.
Fans are already really excited about the EP because of clips that were shared on social media. Many people are praising the project as a sign of how musical ties between West and Southern Africa are growing.
