Janelle Monáe claims that she saw David Bowie live while traveling back in time

According to the 39-year-old musician, she “went back into the 1970s” to see the legendary singer perform from his album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars.

“I did,” she revealed in an interview with Lucy Dacus for the Musicians on Musicians series in Rolling Stone magazine.

“I witnessed him perform Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars when I traveled back in time to the 1970s. It was extraordinary.

Lucy, who seemed taken aback by the assertion, inquired as to whether Janelle “travelled back,” to which the Make Me Feel singer insisted she had even made it backstage.

Yes, I was backstage, she continued. This is what I wanted to do, I thought.

“I thought, ‘I can have the musical, make the music, write the lyrics, and create a community around transformation and being queer — not just in sexuality, but in how we see the world.'” I went back to the 2000s.

“Let’s venture beyond the everyday and what people perceive us to be.” Make space for yourself to change.

Halloween was brought up at the beginning of the chat, and Janelle said that other people can equal her “frequency” at this time of year.

“I believe that’s the synergy between Halloween,” she stated. People seem to consent to being on my frequency.

After a covert fight with cancer, Bowie passed away at the age of 69. Sir Gary Oldman recently declared that the rock star’s death had left the globe in ruins.

“Don’t you feel like the world has gone to shit since he died?” he asked The Hollywood Reporter. He seemed like cosmic glue or something. Everything collapsed after his death.

“I do miss him.” Every now and then, I’ll see something that makes me chuckle and think, “Oh, that would have made Dave laugh,” or “God, I wonder what Dave would have made of this.”
