Diddy’s latest bombshell: The rapper was “seconds from death” after waking up in jail with a “knife to his throat”
Sean “Diddy” Combs allegedly faced a life-threatening situation after being assaulted in his prison cell by another inmate armed with a homemade knife.
Charluci Finney, the rapper’s closest friend, disclosed that he “woke up with a knife to his throat,” following remarks from his lawyer Mark Geragos, who indicated that he is at risk of sexual assault.
Lawyers for Sean “Diddy” Combs have requested that Judge Arun Subramanian permit him to serve his prison sentence at FCI Fort Dix in Hanover Township, New Jersey.
Diddy Was ‘Moments Away From Death’ In Prison: Rapper’s Close Friend Shares Alarming Jail Experience
The Daily Mail reports that the “Finna Get Loose” rapper’s close friend, Charlucci Finney, asserts that a knife-wielding inmate approached him while he was sleeping, holding a makeshift blade to his throat, posing a serious threat to his life.
“Finney revealed, ‘He woke up with a knife to his throat.'” “I’m unsure if he managed to fend him off or if the guards arrived, but I do know that it occurred.”
He observed that the near-fatal incident was likely a warning instead of an actual murder attempt.
If this individual had intended to cause him harm, Sean would have already been harmed. “It would only take a second to slice his throat with a weapon and end his life,” he stated.
“It was likely a way to convey: ‘Next time, you won’t be so fortunate.’ All is a form of intimidation. However, with Sean, it is unlikely to succeed. “Sean is from Harlem,” Finney added.
The lawyers representing the music mogul expressed concerns regarding his safety while incarcerated.
Diddy has been incarcerated for more than a year following his arrest in September 2024.
He endured a challenging criminal sex trial and was found guilty on two counts of transportation for the purpose of engaging in prostitution, yet he was acquitted of the more severe racketeering and sex trafficking charges.
Diddy has frequently expressed concerns regarding the inadequate living conditions in the Brooklyn jail where he is currently held, with his legal team highlighting the risk of potential sexual assault.
During his trial, Diddy’s lawyer Brian Steel informed the court that a guard intervened to prevent an inmate armed with a shiv from reaching the Bad Boy Records founder. Steel remarked that the perpetrator was attempting to acquire “prestige” by targeting Diddy because of his megastar status.
A close associate of Diddy states that inmates often pursue ‘prison justice’ against those incarcerated for offenses related to sexual matters.
Because of Diddy’s time in prison, his good friend Finney has been losing sleep, worried that some inmates may attempt to gain attention by harming his best friend.
“Sean has held back much of this information as he wishes to avoid causing concern for his family,” Finney remarked. “However, if you find yourself in jail facing any sexual charges, it is certainly not an ideal situation.”
He went on, “The prisoners take it personally.” They perceive it as though it might have been my mother, my aunt, or my daughter. They seek what they refer to as prison justice.
Diddy’s close associate attributes his situation to substance abuse.
Finney, who attended every day of Diddy’s trial, acknowledged that his friend erred in some ways but attributed the issues to his hidden drug addiction.
“I was not aware of all the issues that emerged, including the drugs and the abuse.” His children were not either. “Finney insisted that Sean was a lovable caregiver, a father, a brother, and a best friend.”
He continued, “The sex trafficking charge didn’t hold because the jury was astute enough to recognize that this was not sex trafficking.” This was a man and his girlfriend enjoying themselves. That is all. Period.
Diddy’s legal team has requested that Judge Arun Subramanian permit him to complete his remaining sentence at the considerably safer FCI Fort Dix located in Hanover Township, New Jersey.
In a letter to the judge, they highlighted that the low-security facility would provide him with the chance to participate in a drug rehabilitation program and enable him to spend more time with his family.
Diddy intends to appeal his criminal case.
