Tyler Perry Says Derek Dixon “Needs Help” Amid $260M Lawsuit & Sexual Assault Claims

The media mogul asserts that Dixon is taking advantage of the two’s cordial and professional connection.

In response to Derek Dixon’s allegations of sexual assault against him, Tyler Perry says the actor “needs help.”

Perry’s legal team has responded to Dixon’s initial broadcast appearance regarding the allegations with accusations of blackmail, false allegations, and a botched TV pilot. According to PEOPLE, the 56-year-old movie and television mogul claims that Dixon attempted to “turn sinister Mr. Perry’s acts of platonic friendship and professional mentorship” by relying “on Hollywood stereotypes and the bad acts of others.”

Instead of caving in to Dixon’s $260 million demand, Perry’s legal team filed filings on October 1 and intends to go to court.

According to PEOPLE, the complaint claims that Dixon fabricates claims of assaults and interactions that never occurred. Dixon was never abused or sexually attacked by Mr. Perry. He didn’t shoot Dixon’s television pilot script or give him compensation increases in an attempt to intimidate, pressure, or control Dixon. It’s also noteworthy that Dixon felt compelled to lie about both himself and Mr. Perry in an attempt to take advantage of their friendship and business partnership in order to receive a $260 million payout.

It goes on,

Dixon obviously needs assistance based on his behavior and unfounded allegations. However, he is unable to locate it in this Court. Dixon claims to have experienced increasing sexual misbehavior, but he had no trouble playing a part in Season 2 of Mr. Perry’s TV show The Oval.

Dixon claims that Perry repeatedly abused him at his Atlanta home and forced him to consent in order to maintain his employment, as previously reported by BOSSIP.

“This health monitor scale was on its way as we were both making our way back to the guest section, where I had previously been. “What is that?” I asked. Dixon recalled that he remarked, “Well, you have to be in your underwear to measure.” I attempted to stop him by pulling my panties back up, but he reached down and grabbed my ass. “No no no, it’s okay,” he said, sort of grabbing my arms. Simply accept it. “Stop, I don’t want to be naked,” I said. This is not what I desire. “I’m not going to hurt you,” he added.

Dixon went on,

“You don’t truly grasp the kind of feelings that you get in that moment unless you’ve experienced something where you lose control over your body. Every idea crossed my mind: to fight, to run, to freeze. I was unsure about what to do.

Dixon stated in a special interview with ABC that the event came after another in which Perry tried to approach the actor by climbing into the bed he was sleeping in at the guest house.

I leaped from my bed. “Turn around so I can look at you,” he replied, only remarking on my appearance. And he stood up and walked away,” Dixon remarked. After that incident, I felt it was quite obvious that I wasn’t interested in that kind of relationship. People are free to try to make a move or make their shot, but I believe they should stop if they are turned down. After that, I assumed it would end, but it didn’t.

He asserts that the $260 million he is requesting is the least he should be compensated for the harassment. Dixon and Perry will go to court unless he withdraws his claim.
