The Brightest Meteors of Africa Moliy And Tyla Collaborate On “Body Go,” A New Duet
Grammy-winning artist Tyla and Africa’s prolific hitmaker Moliy have teamed up for their brand-new, electric duet, “Body Go.”
Two of Africa’s biggest stars collaborate to create a global dance song that celebrates rhythm, confidence, and movement through an easy blend of R&B, Pop, Amapiano, and Afrobeats.
With its catchy tune and upbeat, joyous vibe, the song quickly became a club and playlist mainstay. It celebrates the freedom to dance and have fun, perfectly encapsulating the spirit of a night out. This notion of sisterhood is furthered by the collaboration of two prominent female African artists, who exude femininity, vitality, unity, and joy.
“After I finished recording the song, I just knew it needed another baddie, so I sent Tyla the record hoping she’d feel it,” Moliy reveals about how the duet came to be. Her verse was flawless when she returned it. It didn’t even feel like the first time when we first met. She even surprised me with roses for my birthday, and we laughed the entire time. She really is a girl’s girl! I knew then that this song had the perfect amount of enthusiasm for a night out with the girls, and I can’t wait to release it.
One of Africa’s most vibrant vocalists, Moliy boldly combines dancehall, R&B, and Afropop. Her remix of the viral hit “Shake It To The Max,” which included Skillibeng and Shenseea, solidified her status as a global breakout star, surpassing 1 billion plays and reaching the top of charts all over the world.
The song was featured in Spotify’s Top 5 Songs of the Summer, TikTok’s Top 10 Global Songs of Summer 2025, and Billboard’s U.S. Afrobeats Songs Chart, where it topped for 22 weeks in a row. After co-directing the worldwide smash “Sad Girlz Luv Money” with Amaarae and remixing it with Kali Uchis, she has since worked with SadBoi, Sean Paul, and Chlöe Bailey. Moliy became the first artist from Ghana to appear at the BET Awards, where his song “Shake It To The Max – FLY [Remix]” was nominated for Song of the Summer and Best Afrobeats.
Since her breakthrough single “Water,” which earned her the Grammy for Best African Music Performance and made her the highest-charting African female soloist on the Billboard Hot 100, she has continued to dominate charts. Tyla, her self-titled debut album, featured collaborations and peaked at the top of international charts.
