Nia Long claims that three years after the cheating scandal, she and Ime Udoka are co-parenting “peacefully”

In 2011, the ex-couple gave birth to their son, Kez.

When Nia Long’s ex-fiance Ime Udoka was revealed to have cheated in 2022, she was severely embarrassed. The 54-year-old actress claims that the two are content as they co-parent their son three years later.

“I went on a trip this summer with my ex-girlfriend, Ime, and my youngest son, Kez. In their most recent cover story interview, she told The Cut, “We had a great time.” We’ve had a very public path that has led to understanding and peace, so it was quite lovely. We also have a great deal of respect for one another.

Long said that she had many bad emotions to get over, but she has done so and still hopes for the current head coach of the Houston Rockets. “Healing your trauma is the most important gift you can give your kids,” she stated. “I don’t discuss my personal life much because it’s nobody’s business, but occasionally rumors circulate on social media that Coach and I are getting along well. I’m hoping he prevails. He is deserving of victory. He is incredibly skilled at what he does. We may prioritize our son and have adventures with him.

After meeting in 2010, Long and Udoka quickly started dating. They get engaged four years after welcoming Kez into the world in 2011. When it was revealed that Udoka had a private and agreeable relationship with a Boston Celtics employee when he was the illustrious team’s head coach, their relationship came to an abrupt stop. He lost Long, his lifelong companion, and was suspended before being sacked.

Thankfully, the adage “time heals all wounds” applied in this case. In the interview with The Cut, she went on to say, “I’m not going to carry burdensome energy with me because that just transfers to my children and it transfers to everything else in my life.” “I’m pleased with myself. As Kez’s parents, I believe we’re pleased of one another for being able to make this a yearly event and dedicate ourselves to his final wonderful years of his elementary and high school education before he leaves for college. Both of us will be there to witness his graduation.
