Doja Cat and SZA will reunite on Latter’s upcoming album
SZA and Doja Cat collaborated on her upcoming album, “Vie.”
The 15-track LP features one featured artist, SZA, who can be heard on the song “Take Me Dancing,” according to the Spotify tracklisting.
The two previously collaborated on the Grammy Award-winning song “Kiss Me More” from 2021, which took home the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance trophy—their first Grammy victories.
After Doja retaliated against the “harsh criticism” of the album’s cover, fans began to notice the SZA participation.
Some were upset by the selection of a picture of the artist hanging from a parachute caught in a tree, as the “Paint The Town Red” hitmaker prepares to release the LP on Friday, 26.09.25.
“Falling in love is putting trust in the hands of yourself and others,” Doja stated when she first shared the picture on Instagram. The yellow parachute is a symbol of adventure, joy, and inquiry. taking a leap of faith, flying you into new scenes and experiences, and having no boundaries. The tree is a symbol of wisdom and life. Its branches give you a sense of security, but the fall’s pain reminds you that those scrapes can be repaired. You are not required to touch the ground. More significantly, love grows downward. You stay stable because of your roots. This is my album’s cover.
The 29-year-old rapper and singer, however, won’t let someone to make her “feel bad” over a song that has great significance.
“You can’t make me feel bad for a cover that has visceral meaning,” Doja wrote in response to the X cover critics. Love and integrity are the best armor. Although I appreciate your scathing criticism, I believe that I have once again succeeded in following my heart. I would not if I were you.
In response, one person wrote: “Visceral meaning? It appears to be Clipart 2007, sis. (sic)
Doja has received support from others, one of whom wrote: “You’re an artist.” True artists dedicate themselves to their creative ideas. Not everyone will enjoy everything, and that’s okay. It’s good to see artists behaving like artists once more. I am eagerly awaiting the album and tour.
According to Doja, Vie is a “pop-driven project.”
“I do want to be self-aware enough to admit that this is a pop-driven project,” she said in an interview with V magazine. Pop music is popular, and I am aware that I am capable of creating it.
“People who are merely spectators to it, who like it, but who may not value it or what it is, which is simply music, begin to perceive it as a sport. They perceive this as a homosexual and female version of football.
