Cardi B Releases “Am I The Drama,” Her Second Studio Album?
Fittingly, the star-studded collection follows some courtroom drama and comes seven years after her highly praised 2018 debut, Invasion of Privacy.
The WAP hitmaker was exonerated of assault and battery in a civil complaint that was filed against her by a security guard a few weeks ago.
The celebrity was questioned about whether her wigs were her genuine hair and the length of her nails, which resulted in the high-drama court case becoming a popular social media meme.
In her lawsuit, Emani Ellis claimed that Cardi, who has three children with her former husband Offset, Kulture, seven, Wave, and 11-month-old Blossom, had spit on her face, yelled racist epithets, and cut her face with her fingernail. Cardi disputed the allegations.
Not long after the 32-year-old rapper revealed she was expecting her fourth child—her first with 31-year-old football player Stefon Diggs—the album was released.
According to Cardi, the record’s delay was caused by the numerous featured artists, including Janet Jackson, Lizzo, Selena Gomez, Megan Thee Stallion, Cash Cobain, Kehlani, Summer Walker, and Tyla, who had yet to submit their contributions.
According to Cardi, releasing the record has been like getting ready to give birth.
During her appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, she stated: “I am completely overwhelmed. I feel as though I’m giving birth to a child.
“It was finished completely, and this is what people are missing.” I cover all the topics I wanted to.
With her first-ever US arena tour, the Little Miss Drama Tour, beginning in Palm Desert, California on February 11, Cardi will bring the drama to the stage.
Before concluding in Atlanta on April 17, Cardi will perform at renowned venues such as Madison Square Garden, the Kia Forum, and Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena.
