Akon’s wife has filed for divorce after 28 years of marriage
Tomeka Thaim filed to divorce the 52-year-old musician on September 11th, stating that they could not agree on anything. However, she stated that their date of separation was “TBD (to be determined).”
People magazine was able to get records that show Tomeka sought for physical custody of their 17-year-old daughter Journey and shared legal custody of the youngster, with the Lonely hitmaker receiving visitation rights.
Tomeka is asking the court to deny Akon any spousal support, but she is still seeking it.
