Nigeria and Interpol collaborate to extradite a wanted Chinese gang leader
Nigeria has extradited a Chinese gang boss who was wanted for violent crimes in China, according to Nigerian police on Sunday. The extradition was made possible by a joint police operation coordinated through Interpol.
His name is Dai Qisheng, and he was arrested in Abuja on August 8. A week later, he was turned over to Chinese officials as part of a system for police to police cooperation, the police said in a statement.
The statement says he left China in 2024 to avoid being arrested in Guizhou, a county in the southwestern China.
