Ciara: I don’t need to prove anything to anyone

The singer, 39, is married to NFL player Russell Wilson, and Ciara maintains that she is unconcerned about being criticized or having her marriage criticized.

“Everyone has the right to their own opinions, but we don’t have to live, and I don’t have to live my life to prove anything to anybody,” the chart-topping star, who has been married to Russell since 2016, stated on The Breakfast Club.

I believe that sometimes people’s perspectives are just a result of how they view the world.

And that may simply be their style, but I feel sorry for them if they wish to love people and spend their lives in a particular way. Unfortunately for them.

Russell is the “most amazing human being you can know,” Ciara added.

“[He’s] the smartest, most intelligent black man that I have ever known, you know,” she added of her husband. He is exactly who you see him to be. Thus, it’s unique and lovely.

Critics, according to Ciara, just don’t get her or her relationship.

“It’s as if someone is claiming that they don’t love someone, but have you ever loved someone correctly?” she clarified. Have you ever experienced true love? People sometimes talk out of pocket because they simply don’t know, in my opinion.

Ciara previously asserted that a happy marriage depends on effective communication.

“I would say communication rules a nation,” the artist stated on Over It Radio.

I’ll give my hubby a lot of credit for his excellent communication skills. And since he values teamwork, leadership, and unity, I believe it may be the quarterback in him.

The singer admitted to occasionally being “spicy and feisty.” But when Ciara speaks to her husband, she always feels at ease.

She revealed: “I am quite appreciative of our capacity to interact with one another. Because it seems like I can talk to him about anything. Additionally, I am quite certain that we will succeed in the talk, even if we have to navigate it.
