BigXthaPlug is arrested on charges of possessing a firearm and marijuana
The rapper’s ‘I Hope You’re Happy’ album was released, and he was arrested.
When BigXThaPlug celebrated the release of his album I Hope You’re Happy, he was arrested by the authorities. Xaviar Landum, the rapper, was arrested early Friday morning (Aug. 22) for unlawfully possessing a handgun and possessing less than two ounces of marijuana, according to Dallas County Jail records. As of right now, the 26-year-old has no bond.
According to CBS News, on Thursday night, the “Back On My BS” singer had a party at the Deep Ellum nightclub in support of the project. On Friday night, the musician was supposed to make an appearance at a Wingstop restaurant in Dallas.
In an interview with The latest York Times this week, BigXThaPlug described the creation of his latest album, which blends rap and country music.
“I am artistic because I aspire to be the best at everything I do.” He emphasized the chance to try his hand at a different genre, saying, “I feel like I’m not just a hip-hop artist — I want to be the best artist in the world.”
I can’t accomplish that unless I can demonstrate that I’m capable of more than just rapping. The foundation of both country music and hip-hop is narrative. That being said, the nation remains distinct. They worked much harder at it. A love-hate relationship exists. I appreciate the amount of work they put into it, but I detest how drawn out the process is. That is the longest I have ever worked on a project.
Among the eleven tracks on I Hope You’re Happy are features by Bailey Zimmerman, Shaboozey, Ink, Jelly Roll, and Darius Rucker.
