Trump might sanction Russia within two weeks
President Donald Trump of the United States stated on Friday that he should know in two weeks whether he can make any headway in his efforts to stop Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. He also brought up the possibility of placing sanctions on Moscow once more.
In the Oval Office, Trump told reporters, “I’m not happy” with any part of the peace process. Trump recently met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, but he hasn’t been able to persuade him to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
“There’s a tremendous amount of hatred there,” Trump stated. However, we’ll see what transpires. I believe we’ll be able to tell which direction I’m heading in two weeks.
At that time, he would make a decision about whether to apply “massive sanctions” or to do nothing and tell them that “it’s your fight.”
