Mariah Carey claims that her kids don’t listen to her music
The 56-year-old singer and her ex-husband Nick Cannon have twins, Moroccan and Monroe, who are 14 years old. She disclosed that they “have their own taste” and are not enamored with her music.
“Sometimes I hold back from playing my songs to my kids because they have their own taste,” she said in the Bizarre column of The Sun newspaper.
“Roc loves Sabrina Carpenter, and Roe loves Olivia Rodrigo.”
Seven years after her last album release, Mariah’s 16th album, Here For It All, is scheduled for release on September 26. Until then, she is keeping the majority of the details under wraps.
She did, however, hint at certain remixes and collaborations.
“We might have a duet with Anderson Paak,” Mariah remarked. It has an R&B flavor from the Seventies. It’s quirky.
More remixes are most likely on the horizon.
“I realized I had four tunes after working on some new ones. That’s awesome. What will we do?
“I finally remarked, ‘I think we can make this into an album,’ when we reached about six tracks.
However, I have quite a few tunes. The way it works for me is that I don’t really let people listen to them until they’re finished.
She says, “We will have to see about that,” when asked if she plans to tour with this record. The 16th record is this one. That makes me pleased.
