Diddy hopes to return to Madison Square Garden for a show

Sean “Diddy” Combs, who was found guilty and imprisoned on federal charges, hopes to play as the main act at Madison Square Garden when he returns.

As part of his rehabilitation and efforts to reconnect with his fans, the 55-year-old rapper is presently incarcerated pending his sentencing in October following his recent trial. His attorney, Marc Agnifilo, has now informed CBS Mornings that the I’ll Be Missing You singer has his sights set on the stadium.

“I said I’ll be there,” Mr. Agnifilo informed anchor Jericka Duncan, “and he’s going to be back at Madison Square Garden.”

In addition, Combs wishes to “reunite with his mother and those who miss and love him,” the lawyer said.

According to Mr. Agnifilo, he wishes to leave prison and rebuild a loving, present relationship with each of his seven children.

So he’s discussed resuming his musical career with you?” Ericka inquired.

at response, Mr. Agnifilo said: “No, he hasn’t really done that. Well, he did say that he’s ‘going to be back in Madison Square Garden.'”

In response to Ericka’s question, “What are you doing?” Mr. Agnifilo said, “I guess being on stage, you know?”

“Always going to strive to do something… exceptional and probably demanding and challenging,” he added.

In a federal court in New York, Combs was found guilty on two counts of transporting someone to engage in prostitution on July 2. However, he was found not guilty of racketeering or sex trafficking.

On October 3, 2025, he will be sentenced. He is currently in federal jail at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn and faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

For the seventh time, Combs was denied bail by Judge Arun Subramanian, who cited him as a flight risk and community danger.

Another member of Combs’s legal team, Nicole Westmoreland, stated: “It’s my understanding that we’ve reached out and had conversations in reference to a pardon,” as rumors of a potential presidential pardon for the rapper heat up.

“Combs is a very hopeful person, and I think he still is hopeful,” she continued.

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, who was once friendly with Combs, has stated that a pardon is more likely to be “no” due to previous disagreements.

He said Combs was “basically… half-innocent,” but cautioned that their altered connection makes clemency challenging.

Defense arguments for Combs’ release, which included a $50 million bond and stringent travel restrictions, have been repeatedly denied in court. Combs has been detained since his arrest in September 2024.
