Chimano explains that after implying that they weren’t on speaking terms, he was kidding
Chimano has stated that he was merely kidding following recent reports that Sauti Sol members Bien and Chimano were not conversing. When asked which musician he would most likely work with, Chimano responded, “I thought we were brothers, come on call me Bien,” in an interview with OkayAfrica.
Following the group’s sabbatical, which sparked rumors regarding their relationships, this has happened. Other members, such as Savara, have previously asserted that the hiatus is an opportunity for them to pursue separate endeavors and new experiences rather than a split. After decades of working together, they have made it clear that they are still very much a team and that their relationship is still strong.
In order to cope with the transition and their own goals, Sauti Sol has been transparent about taking time off to concentrate on their respective careers. They have even talked about attending to therapy sessions. The group’s members have always insisted that their friendship is its foundation and that they would never disparage one another.
Since their break, all four members have undertaken noteworthy solo endeavors. Additionally, even though they are no longer a part of the group, they still draw large crowds of fans as the main performance at the yearly Solfest music event.
