Jeezy’s Tour Is Saved by an Uber Driver: A 10-Hour Ride to Baltimore Following a Flight Failure
Tanner’s incredible cross-state hustle helps Jeezy avoid cancellation.
The following tour stop was in risk when Jeezy woke up to the awful news that his flights to Baltimore and D.C. had been canceled due to inclement weather. Since there was no definite air transportation, his crew planned a road expedition. However, tragedy struck when they hit highway debris that punctured their petrol tank two hours into their city-to-city trek. Fuel leaked all over.
While stuck at a small petrol station in South Carolina, the team decided to go with plan C, which was to rent a private jet. But they couldn’t be sure the jet would arrive in time because the weather was bad enough to cancel commercial flights. That’s when the possibility of another cancelation materialized.
Plan D had to be used immediately. They reserved an Uber ride to get them to the closest airport car rental location. Tanner, the driver, arrived, and the suitcases were loaded and they took off. Jeezy asked him directly after eight minutes if he could drive to Baltimore. He paused, considered it, then Tanner continued without even pausing.
The next ten hours were spent driving nonstop. They arrived in Baltimore just ten minutes prior to the showtime, and Tanner persevered without stopping. Jeezy made him his overnight visitor and gave him a Snowman T-shirt.

Not all heroes wear capes, Jeezy said, praising Uber driver Tanner, the night’s sole hero. Some even drive constantly to keep your show afloat.
P.S. I never considered missing Baltimore.
