The Dolphins cut Odell Beckham Jr., a veteran wide receiver
With four games remaining in the season, veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was dismissed by the Miami Dolphins on Friday.
After Beckham, 32, skipped two sessions this week due to personal concerns, ESPN reported that the release was mutual.
Beckham only caught nine passes for 55 yards in nine games (no starts) while playing on a one-year, $3 million contract.
The three-time Pro Bowl pick has played for five different clubs, notably the New York Giants for five seasons (2014–18), and has 575 receptions for 7,987 yards and 59 touchdowns in 119 games (97 starts).
Beckham could sign with any team if he passes waivers.
Before playing the Houston Texans (8-5) on the road on Sunday, the Dolphins (6-7) had won four of their last five games.
