Due to a chest ailment, safety Jalen Pitre of the Houston Texans was placed on injured reserve on Friday, formally ending his season.

In 12 starts this season, he recorded 65 tackles, eight passes defensed, one interception, and one forced fumble.
Pitre, a 2022 second-round pick, has played in 44 games (all starts) for the Texans, recording 296 tackles and six picks.
