Ivory Coast cocoa prices went up 16.1% year over year in November, according to a seller group
Today, exporting group GEPEX released figures showing that Ivory Coast’s cocoa grind increased 16.1% year-over-year in November to 60,694 metric tons.
Up 1.6% from the same time last season, the total grind from the beginning of the 2024–25 season in October to the end of November was 119,777 tons of beans.
GEPEX data covers six of the biggest grinding companies, such as Cargill Inc. (CARG.UL), Olam (OLAG.SI), and Barry Callebaut (BARN.S).
There is a total grinding capacity of 712,000 tons in Ivory Coast. Along with the Netherlands, it is the world’s biggest chocolate producer and biggest grinder.
