The junta in Burkina Faso names a new prime minister
The military administration of Burkina Faso dissolved the government on Friday and named Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouedraogo as prime minister of the transition after dismissing Apollinaire Joachim Kyelem de Tambela, according to a statement released on Saturday.
The former government’s spokesman and minister of communication was Ouedraogo.
Tambela was named temporary premier shortly after junta leader Ibrahim Traore took control in September 2022, but no explanation was provided for his resignation.
