In November, Kenya’s inflation rate increased by 2.8% year over year
According to the statistics office on Friday, Kenya’s inflation rate (KECPI=ECI) increased slightly to 2.8% year-over-year in November from 2.7% the previous month.
According to a release from the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics, monthly inflation was 0.3% as opposed to 0.2% in October.
Kenya aims to have a medium-term inflation rate of 2.5% to 7.5%.
On December 5, the central bank is expected to make its most recent announcement about the benchmark lending rate. The bank lowered its rate (KECBIR=ECI) in October, opening a new tab at 12.00% instead of 12.75%.
