Pope Francis has said he sees “hypocrisy” in criticism of his decision to allow priests to bless homosexuals.

The homosexual blessing was approved last month by a Vatican document called the Fiducia Supplicans (Supplicating Trust), but it met significant opposition in the Catholic Church, particularly from African bishops.

Francis told Italian Catholic magazine Credere that he “always” welcomes homosexuals and those who remarried after divorce to the sacrament of union.
