Country Music Singer Star Toby Keith Dead At 62.

Country music star Toby Keith has died at age 62, according to a statement on his official website. The Oklahoma artist, who sold more than 40 million albums throughout his career, had 20 number-one singles, including “Should’ve Been a Cowboy,” “Courtesy of the Red, White & Blue (The Angry American),” “Beer for my Horses” and “As Good as I Once Was.”

“Toby Keith passed peacefully last night on February 5th, surrounded by his family. He fought his fight with grace and courage. Please respect the privacy of his family at this time,” the statement read.

Keith announced in June 2022 that he had been diagnosed with stomach cancer in the fall of 2021.
