Bruno Fernandes has been awarded the PFA Players’ Player of the Year following an exceptional season with Manchester United.

Bruno Fernandes, the captain of Manchester United, has been awarded the 2026 PFA Players’ Player of the Year during the 53rd PFA Awards held in Manchester.

Fernandes triumphed over Arsenal’s Declan Rice, David Raya, and Gabriel Magalhães, along with Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Rayan Cherki, to claim the award.

The 31-year-old had an exceptionally fruitful season with Manchester United, establishing a new Premier League record for assists with 21 throughout the campaign. He played a significant role in United’s resurgence under Michael Carrick, contributing to the club’s third-place finish in the Premier League.

Fernandes had previously secured the Premier League Player of the Season and Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year awards before adding the PFA honor, achieving a remarkable individual awards sweep.

The award, chosen by fellow professional footballers, complements Fernandes’ accolades as the Premier League Player of the Season and the Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year.
