Soulidified just signed with Atlantic Records, which means that “Cookies and Cream” will be released on a major label

The boy band that captured hearts on Netflix’s “Building the Band” has just taken a significant step forward.

Soulidified, the soulful, R&B-leaning quartet that fans have affectionately dubbed “Cookies and Cream” for their beautifully diverse appearance and harmonious sound, has officially signed with Atlantic Records, as reported by Variety. This moment marks the transition of Soulidified’s journey from reality TV sensation to established recording artists, a significant change for a group that began as four individuals auditioning alone and unaware of who they would ultimately stand beside.

Soulidified’s journey begins uniquely compared to their labelmates: four individuals, previously unknown to each other, auditioning separately for a Netflix competition series, unaware that they would ultimately be united as a group. That’s the core concept of “Building the Band”: vocal chemistry determines who performs together on stage, rather than friendship, appearance, or past connections.

By episode three, Landon Boyce, Malik Heard, Shade Jenifer, and Bradley Rittmann had come together, and the chemistry was unmistakable from their initial performance as a group. Every member contributed a unique perspective. Landon, a 20-year-old singer-songwriter and model from Utah, had previously been a member of another boy band before joining the show. Malik, 27 and from Texas, pursued this dream through both “The Voice” and “American Idol” before discovering his community on “Building the Band.”

Shade, 26, from Maryland, was juggling front desk and delivery driver jobs while pursuing a passion for music in the background. Bradley, a 22-year-old graduate of Berklee College of Music from Massachusetts, had already graced the stage of “The Jennifer Hudson Show” prior to the commencement of this competition.

Together, they secured third place overall on the show, but anyone who followed their journey understands that the placement hardly captures the full narrative. Their covers, particularly the R&B classics that became their hallmark, gained viral popularity for a reason. It’s that soulful, warm, unmistakably R&B tone that inspired the name Soulidified in the first place, and it’s the same sound that transformed casual viewers into a dedicated fanbase, one they proudly refer to as the Souldiers.

Soulidified continued to maintain its momentum even after the cameras stopped rolling. They released their debut original single, “One & Only,” in August 2025, followed by “What’s Your Name” earlier this year, both showcasing the fusion of pop, soul, and R&B that defines their identity, drawing comparisons to the legends that clearly inspire them, including Boyz II Men, NSYNC, Michael Jackson, Usher, and Beyoncé. They embarked on the Bandemonium Tour in 2025 with sold-out performances nationwide and later collaborated with fellow “Building the Band” alum 3Quency for a tour that spanned from Florida to Las Vegas. Along the way, they surpassed 140,000 monthly Spotify listeners and cultivated a dedicated fanbase that actively supports them online.

Now, that hard work has brought them to one of music’s most iconic labels.

Signing with Atlantic Records places Soulidified among truly distinguished peers. The label’s current roster features a remarkable array of prominent artists spanning various genres, including Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Charli XCX, Jack Harlow, Lil Uzi Vert, Kehlani, Burna Boy, Ty Dolla $ign, Wiz Khalifa, Trey Songz, Janelle Monáe, PinkPantheress, Melanie Martinez, and Gucci Mane, among others. Soulidified also joins a surge of exciting new Atlantic signings, arriving alongside other notable additions to the label’s roster.

For a group that cultivated its following through genuine chemistry and heartfelt harmonies instead of a conventional industry rise, joining a lineup filled with legends and chart-toppers serves as a complete affirmation of all they’ve created since that initial episode.

With a major label now supporting them, it seems that Soulidified is poised to embark on an exciting new chapter—fresh music, larger stages, and an expanded platform to cultivate the Souldiers into a worldwide fanbase. From four strangers who were unfamiliar with each other’s names to a signed act on one of the most legendary labels in music, Soulidified’s journey exemplifies how soulful chemistry can lead to remarkable success. Congratulations are well-deserved, and we eagerly anticipate what comes next.
