Iraola starts his tenure at Liverpool with a pre-season victory against Sunderland
Liverpool secured a 4-2 pre-season win against fellow Premier League team Sunderland on Saturday, marking Andoni Iraola’s inaugural match in charge. However, an injury to defender Joe Gomez overshadowed the victory.
Gomez, 29, exited the pitch within the first 10 minutes of the match in Nashville, as goals from Kieran Morrison, Dominik Szoboszlai, Federico Chiesa, and Lewis Koumas secured the victory for Liverpool.
