FIFA Unveils Championship Rings for 2026 World Cup Champions

World Cup winners will receive custom-made championship rings alongside the trophy and medals, marking a first in FIFA history.

The winners of the 2026 FIFA World Cup will receive custom-made championship rings alongside the iconic trophy and gold medals, introducing a new prize inspired by American sporting tradition.

FIFA has revealed that 30 personalized rings will be presented to the winning team after the final match on Sunday between Argentina and Spain at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The rings will showcase the World Cup trophy on one side, with the other side personalized to embody the identity of the winning team. Captains and head coaches will be awarded temporary rings right after the final, while the personalized versions will be given to players at a later time.

A total of 2,026 individually numbered rings will be produced as a limited edition, with 1,996 of them available for fans to purchase.

Sunday’s final will feature a glamorous closing ceremony prior to kick-off, along with a half-time show showcasing international music legends.

Argentina are pursuing back-to-back World Cup titles after narrowly defeating England in the semifinal, while Spain seek to claim the trophy for the second time since their victory in 2010. Lionel Messi has the opportunity to be the first player to start three World Cup finals and to further his all-time World Cup scoring record. He is currently tied with France’s Kylian Mbappé, each having scored eight goals in the competition for the Golden Boot.
