Nvidia collaborates with Japanese companies to enhance AI robotics
Nvidia has announced collaborations with prominent Japanese companies to enhance the development of robotics and artificial intelligence.
Nvidia has revealed collaborations with various Japanese firms, such as Fanuc and Yaskawa Electric, to enhance the progress of robotics and artificial intelligence technologies.
Nvidia’s Chief Executive Officer, Jensen Huang, announced the news on Thursday during a media event in Tokyo.
“With AI, robots will become intelligent, highly adaptable, and readily accessible,” Huang stated.
Government-backed technology company Noetra, with investors including Sony, has announced plans to acquire 27,500 Nvidia Rubin chips as it enhances its physical AI capabilities.
The decision highlights Japan’s increasing commitment to artificial intelligence and robotics, areas where the nation has historically excelled on the global stage.
Huang’s visit has garnered significant public interest in Japan, following his fame in Taiwan, where he has achieved celebrity status due to Nvidia’s leading position in the global AI industry.
Japan hosts numerous significant companies within the global semiconductor supply chain, establishing the nation as a crucial market for Nvidia’s growth.
On Wednesday, Huang participated in an event organized by gaming company Sega Sammy in Tokyo’s Akihabara electronics district, followed by a meal at a traditional Japanese izakaya.
Despite the summer heat, Huang maintained his signature look in a leather jacket and attracted crowds by distributing bread and tea to journalists and members of the public outside the restaurant.
