Report: Donald Trump Considers Clemency for Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs
A report says that Trump is considering pardoning Diddy and other famous people.
Reports say that US President Donald Trump is considering pardoning music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs in the next few days. This is part of a larger review of pardons and clemency measures by the White House.
CBS News reports that Trump is likely to grant pardons to several individuals convicted of emissions and clean air-related crimes. Trump will also consider clemency requests from Diddy and other famous people. Before making a final choice about the suggestions put to him, the president is meeting with officials, according to reports.
Prakazrel “Pras” Michel, a member of The Fugees, is reportedly seeking the president’s forgiveness. He is currently serving a federal prison sentence for his part in an illegal foreign lobbying scheme involving Malaysian businessman Jho Low.
Combs was put on trial in 2025 on charges that he abused and forced three people, including his ex-partner Cassie Ventura. He was also charged with kidnapping, setting fires, and bribery.
On July 20, 2025, a jury in New York City gave him a mixed verdict. They found him guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution but not guilty of sex trafficking or racketeering plots.
In addition to facing criminal charges, the founder of Bad Boy Records has also faced over 100 civil lawsuits for sexual abuse.
In September 2024, Combs was arrested in Manhattan after being charged by federal officials in the Southern District of New York.
Trump had said earlier this year that he would not pardon Combs after getting a request for clemency from the rapper’s lawyers. However, recent news indicates that the option is still under consideration.
