China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi will begin an official visit to Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Norway from July 2 to July 8, as Beijing aims to enhance diplomatic relations with the Nordic region.
A spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry made the announcement during a regular press briefing on Tuesday.
During the week-long trip, Wang is anticipated to conduct individual meetings with the foreign ministers of each of the four countries to address bilateral relations and matters of shared interest.
Chinese officials stated that the visit is a component of Beijing’s continuous diplomatic initiatives aimed at enhancing collaboration with European partners and sustaining dialogue on both regional and global matters.
