Congo reports that the count of confirmed Ebola cases has increased to 1,155
The number of confirmed Ebola cases in the Democratic Republic of Congo has risen to 1,155, with 304 deaths, according to government data released on Thursday.
The figure indicated the total confirmed cases as of Wednesday, based on a situation report that recorded 37 new cases and five new deaths in the last 24 hours.
Health officials said in the report that better monitoring of health and biological factors has helped find cases sooner, showing that community transmission is increasing each week.
