Bernarr said Tank blocked him, and the two ended their fight before it could really begin

When Durand told Tank that he had blocked him, the two singers quickly made their talk public, and it seemed to go well.

Fans discovered that Tank and Durand Bernarr were in a dispute, and they swiftly resolved it.

What began as a podcast talk quickly turned into a public argument on X. However, before the story could gain significant traction on social media, both artists appeared to be prepared to resolve the dispute. Durand told The Joe Budden Podcast recently, “Tank doesn’t like me,” which was the first time he talked about the situation. Tank stopped me.

The comment got a lot of attention right away, especially after Durand said what he thought caused the backlash. Tank wrote that artists are not real R&B singers if they can’t sing Tevin Campbell’s “Can We Talk” in the original key, which is where the Grammy-nominated singer says the problem began. Durand said, “My brother in Christ, you cannot even sing the song in the original key,” which meant he didn’t agree with the take.

Durand made it clear, though, that he wasn’t criticizing Tank’s skills. He said that artists should instead sing in the key that suits their voice the best.

“Why do you always nag people about their abilities? He said in the interview, “They can do it their own way.”

As soon as clips from the show hit social media, fans started to comment. A lot of them said Tank was criticizing standards he doesn’t seem to follow himself. Tank jumped right into the talk at that point.

Tank wrote to Durand on X, “I don’t know you, so to dislike you.” “I know for sure that you’re very talented. “You don’t know this, but I stand by and protect you. But let’s save that for another time. If I blocked you, it was because you were f**king crazy. At least tell the truth.

A screenshot of a tweet from @durandbernarr shows that they are willing to talk and settle their differences, along with a shrug and a hand gesture emoji. The following is a reply tweet from @TheRealTank that defends @durandbernarr and says they back them but will save the details for later.

Durand replied almost right away, stressing that he didn’t want to drag out the problem in public. He wrote, “Broseph, I’m down to talk and settle it because there’s really NO beef on my side.” Later, he added, “Let the healing begin.”

Tank then replied quickly, “Good to hear. See you soon,” which seemed to prove that the tension was gone.

In today’s digital age, online disagreements can persist for weeks, often involving subs, interviews, and unfollows. Fans were taken aback by the swift resolution. Both singers decided to talk on the phone instead of rolling out.

To give you some background, Durand Bernarr is known as one of the best R&B singers and performers, and his song “Wanderlust” was nominated for a Grammy in 2024. Tank has been writing and singing modern R&B hits for decades and is still one of the genre’s most recognizable sounds.
