Tesla has increased the prices of Model Y vehicles in the US for the first time in two years
Tesla has increased the prices of its Model Y cars in the United States as of Saturday, as indicated on its website.
The company has raised the price of its Model Y premium all-wheel drive to $49,990 and the Model Y premium rear-wheel drive to $45,990, with an increase of $1,000 for each model.
The company has increased the price of its Model Y Performance all-wheel drive to $57,990 in the United States, reflecting a $500 rise from previous pricing, as indicated on the website.
In August of last year, the company increased the price of its highest-priced Cybertruck pickup truck model by $15,000 in the United States, even in the face of softer-than-anticipated sales and recalls.
Tesla has not disclosed a reason for the price increase.
The last time the company raised the price of Model Y cars was two years ago in 2024, when it increased the prices of all Model Y cars by $1,000.
