Lula and Senator Flavio Bolsonaro of Brazil tied in the second round of the Datafolha poll

The most recent Datafolha poll, which came out on Saturday, showed that a runoff between Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and Senator Flavio Bolsonaro in October would end in a tie.

The study said that Lila and Flavio, who is the son of former President Jair Bolsonaro, would both get 45% of the vote in a second round runoff.

In April, a poll showed that Lula would get 45% of the vote and Flavio would get 46%. This was a statistical tie because the poll had a two-point margin of error.

A poll of 2,004 people said that Lula would get 38% of the vote in the first round, and Flavio would come in second with 35%.

Most of the interviews for the most recent poll happened before Intercept Brasil wrote a story about Flavio’s friendship with Daniel Vorcaro, once a banker.

According to the story, Flavio reportedly worked out a deal with Vorcaro, the former owner of Banco Master, to get 134 million reais ($26.5 million) to pay for a movie about his father’s life.

Vorcaro is in jail right now while an investigation into the scandal surrounding the failure of Banco Master continues.

Flavio has said that he did nothing wrong in his relationship with Vorcaro. Vorcaro’s defense team had previously refused to comment on the Intercept Brasil story.
