Tyreek Hill Settles During Trial After Influencer Claims He Broke Her Leg in Football Drills

Tyreek Hill, an NFL wide receiver, was involved in a court case in Florida last Friday. The case came to an unexpected end when both sides quietly agreed to end the fight before a jury could decide the outcome.

The case revolved around Sophie Hall, a social media star with over 2 million Instagram followers. She said that Hill hurt her leg badly while they were practicing football at his Southwest Ranches estate in June 2023. Hall sued Hill in February 2024, saying that during the drills, he used “crushing force” that broke Hall’s tibial plateau and required surgery and a lot of therapy.

Hall’s lawyers say Hill got frustrated when she pushed him backwards during an exercise in front of other people. Then, they said, he charged into her during a later drill, hurting her. According to Hill’s defense, Hall either tripped over his dog Chapo or got hurt while willingly taking part in a contact-style football workout, where he knew there were risks.

They knew each other. Hill and Hall first met when Hill’s mother signed her son up for one of his school football camps. According to the evidence in court, the relationship turned flirtatious over daily texts, which led Hall to stay at Hill’s home for several days. Within the depositions, Hall admitted that she stayed at the house after the injury and kept seeing Hill intimately. She also seemed to change some of what she had said before. For example, she told the judge, “I said I got hurt while playing.”

The jury had already heard the opening statements and Hall’s evidence before the settlement became public. The terms of the deal were not made public. Hill joked as he left the building, “I’m going to Disney World.”

The settlement comes after a rough period for Hill. He was released by the Miami Dolphins earlier this year after hurting his knee and is still involved in a divorce and custody battle with his ex-wife Keeta Vaccaro over allegations of domestic violence, which Hill has denied through his lawyers.
