Nick Cannon Reportedly Defrauded Of Millions By Longtime Financial Manager
Frank Musoke has been indicted by federal authorities for allegedly siphoning over $2 million to support a lavish lifestyle characterized by luxury travel and extensive shopping sprees on Amazon.
It appears that Nick Cannon was deceived by the individual entrusted with safeguarding his assets.
Federal prosecutors have formally charged Frank Musoke, a former account manager at a Beverly Hills firm, for purportedly misusing Nick’s hard-earned money as if it were his personal piggy bank.
Nick maintained a relationship with this firm for almost two decades, but Musoke allegedly broke that trust by diverting funds. The authorities report that Musoke exploited his role to obtain Nick’s debit cards and PINs. Between late 2019 and mid-2023, he reportedly withdrew approximately $1.7 million solely through ATM transactions.
The extravagant spending extended beyond just ATM transactions. The indictment alleges that Musoke spent more than $165,000 on Amazon, close to $192,000 on private travel, and an additional $160,000 on various personal expenses, all at Nick’s expense. Nick never approved the theft of over $2M, which occurred right under his nose.
The company ultimately detected a problem and terminated Musoke in July 2023 after discovering the missing millions, but the harm had already been inflicted. In addition to the five counts of wire fraud, federal authorities added three counts of tax evasion, as Musoke reportedly attempted to conceal $1.7 million in stolen “income” from the IRS.
Reports indicate that Musoke has left the US and is currently untraceable. Authorities believe he has traveled to Uganda, where he possesses dual citizenship. If he ever finds himself in a courtroom and receives a conviction, he could face up to 20 years for each fraud charge.
It serves as a sharp reminder of the importance of closely monitoring those who manage your finances.
