Tasha K: “We Lost the War” as Judge Reinstates Full $4M Cardi B Defamation Judgment

Cardi B’s legal team asserts that the blogger breached their bankruptcy agreement with recent remarks related to Offset.

Cardi B and Tasha K find themselves in court once more, with the rapper seemingly finished with the notion of a reduced settlement agreement. Following years of lawsuits, bankruptcy filings, and ongoing internet disputes, Cardi’s legal team is now requesting that a judge allow her to collect the full nearly $4 million judgment against the controversial blogger in light of recent comments related to Offset. According to multiple reports, the court appears to favor Cardi.

Court filings indicate that Cardi’s attorneys assert Tasha K breached the non-disparagement terms of her bankruptcy repayment plan by addressing Offset’s purported gambling habits during a livestream. Although Cardi was not explicitly named, her legal team contends that the commentary unmistakably alluded to her family and perpetuated a trend of subtle jabs aimed at driving clicks and revenue.

The recent confrontation contributes yet another installment to one of hip hop’s most tumultuous legal disputes. In 2019, Cardi filed a defamation lawsuit against Tasha K after the YouTuber disseminated false claims about the Bronx rapper on her platform, which included allegations related to drug use, sexually transmitted infections, and prostitution. In 2022, a jury ruled in favor of Cardi, granting her approximately $4 million in damages. Tasha subsequently filed for bankruptcy, prompting both parties to negotiate a repayment plan that allegedly reduced the immediate balance, provided she continued making payments and refrained from publicly discussing Cardi.

It appears that the agreement may be on the verge of collapse.

Tasha recently spoke about the situation during a livestream, acknowledging, “If you hear we lost, we lost the war,” and continued with, “I’m used to losing… but I always overcome it.”

In the meantime, Cardi’s attorneys are alleging that Tasha’s legal team referenced a fictitious court case in their recent filings, which raises further concerns regarding the management of this legal battle behind the scenes.
