Quavo acknowledges that Takeoff surpassed him during the “Takeover” performance, stating, “He doesn’t miss a beat”
Quavo is sharing details about a moment that he cherishes deeply. In a recent interview with Baller Alert, the Atlanta rapper openly discussed collaborating with his late nephew and fellow Migos member, Takeoff, in the forthcoming film, “Takeover.”
During the conversation about the movie, Quavo emphasized the importance of including Takeoff in the project from the very start. Reflecting on the past, he acknowledged that the experience holds even greater significance following Takeoff’s tragic passing in 2022.
“I was ensuring he had everything sorted out down there and was ready for the film,” Quavo stated. “Reflecting on it now, I consider that to be one of my proudest moments.”
The discussion swiftly became heartfelt as Quavo shared the profound trust Takeoff had in him regarding their creative endeavors. Quavo stated that the support remained constant regardless of the vision he chose to follow.
“He consistently has faith in my vision. He consistently has faith in my decisions. “He always supported anything I was fully committed to,” he shared.
Then arrived the moment that surprised fans. Quavo candidly acknowledged that Takeoff might have been the more skilled actor of the two.
“He arrived there and fulfilled his part.” “He’s actually a better actor than I am because he’s so laid back and so comfortable in what he’s doing,” Quavo said. “And he always, you might not see him rehearse, but when it’s time, lights, camera, action.” He doesn’t miss a beat.
Quavo expressed that witnessing Takeoff fully embrace the role filled him with pride.
“It was wonderful to observe how seriously he approached it.”
For fans, the film now holds a new significance. What began as yet another artistic endeavor for the duo has transformed into a cherished memory immortalized on film.
