Davido will be honored with induction into the Black Music and Entertainment Walk of Fame in Atlanta next month.

Nigerian singer Davido has been recognized as one of the inductees for the 2026 Black Music and Entertainment Walk of Fame in Atlanta, Georgia. This acknowledgment positions him among notable entertainment personalities celebrated for their impact on Black culture and worldwide music.

Organizers have revealed that Davido will be included in the 2026 class, with the induction ceremony set to take place on June 1 in Atlanta’s Historic Westside. The Walk of Fame was established by the Black American Music Association and the Georgia Entertainment Caucus to recognize individuals who have significantly influenced Black entertainment and music.

Davido is now part of a distinguished group that features rapper Ludacris, gospel singer Paul S. Morton, and former Atlanta Mayor Maynard Jackson.

The singer is also included alongside Nigerian Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti among the African artists who have been acknowledged by the organization.

Since its inception in 2021, the Black Music and Entertainment Walk of Fame has celebrated entertainers such as Beyoncé, Usher, Stevie Wonder, and Mary J. Blige.

The Walk of Fame honors Black entertainers and cultural icons who have made significant contributions to music and entertainment globally. Inductees are honored with plaques positioned along the walkway in Atlanta, acknowledging their significant contributions to Black culture.

Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, has emerged as one of the most prominent global figures in Afrobeats. His album Timeless garnered Grammy nominations, and his recent project 5IVE has also achieved international recognition.

The induction contributes to an expanding collection of international accolades for the singer as Afrobeats increasingly captures global interest.
