Dolly Parton Cancels Las Vegas Residency Due to Health Concerns
Dolly Parton has canceled her Las Vegas residency as she undergoes treatment for kidney stones, stating that she is making progress but is not yet ready to perform on stage.
Dolly Parton has decided to cancel her upcoming Las Vegas residency as she focuses on her health treatment.
The 80-year-old shared that she is on the mend after a prolonged battle with kidney stones, noting that she is “responding really well to meds and treatments” and is “improving every day.”
Parton had previously rescheduled her six-date engagement at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace from December 2025 to September 2026, citing “health challenges” as the reason.
“I’ve still got some healing to do, but I am on my way!” she stated on Monday while confirming the cancellation.
In a video message, she expressed that she was unable to perform at her full capacity.
“I can’t feel dizzy while carrying banjos, guitars, and other items on 5-inch heels—and you know I’ll be wearing them.”
“And let’s not forget all those heavy rhinestone outfits, the big hair, my big… uh, personality,” she joked.
Parton expressed that she requires additional time before she feels “stage-performance ready.”
“I’m sorry I can’t see all of you who bought tickets to my Vegas show.” Well, you head to Vegas, and you have a fantastic time… “I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to meet you again in the future.”
She mentioned that she continues to be active, recording music, creating videos, and developing new projects, which include a Broadway musical, a museum, and a hotel in Nashville.
Parton stands out as one of country music’s most accomplished artists, celebrated for iconic songs like I Will Always Love You, Jolene, and 9 To 5.
