Davido Says He Missed the Lagos Event Because of “Wars Around the World”

Davido stated that the scarcity of aviation fuel led to adjustments in his schedule, attributing his absence from the Secret Palace anniversary in Lagos to “wars around the world.” 

Nigerian music star Davido has expressed his apologies to fans for missing a scheduled appearance in Lagos, citing travel issues that prevented him from attending the event.

Davido was scheduled to perform at the fifth anniversary of Secrets Palace. The singer subsequently announced on social media that he was unable to travel as intended due to his team’s difficulties in securing fuel for his flight, which necessitated a revision of his schedule.

In his post, Davido connected the disruption to broader events occurring globally. “Yesterday, the world unfolded before me…” The conflicts occurring globally have begun to have a significant impact on various sectors, including the travel industry; for instance, securing fuel posed a challenge yesterday, affecting flight schedules and leading to delays and cancellations, which meant that everything needed to be rearranged.

He also expressed his apologies to the fans who had already gathered at the venue. “To my fans who showed up at ESecretspalace!” Apologies! I missed it. We will run it back again soon.

Davido extended his congratulations to music producer Sheyman, the host of the anniversary event, and expressed his continued support for him.

The organizers have not yet confirmed a new date for the singer’s appearance at the time of reporting.
