Jamaica established a new world record in the mixed 4x100m relay
Jamaica broke their own mixed 4×100 meter relay world record at the World Athletics Relays in Gaborone, Botswana, on Sunday, achieving an impressive time of 39.62 seconds.
The Jamaicans achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first quartet to break the 40-second barrier in the mixed 4×100 meter relay, clocking in at 39.99 during the same meeting on Saturday.
In the final, Jamaica and Canada competed for the World Relays title, with Ackeem Blake, Tina Clayton, Kadrian Goldson, and Tia Clayton emerging victorious.
Canada secured second place with a time of 40.23, while the U.S. followed closely in third at 40.33.
