An incident of cutting at Foss High School in Washington has hurt six people, according to the police.

The attack happened on Thursday afternoon, according to the Tacoma Police Department, after what they called a fight on school grounds. The Tacoma Fire Department transported five kids and an adult security guard to the hospital. It has been stated that all of the victims are now in stable condition.

The suspect, who was revealed as a student at the school, was quickly caught by police at the scene. The person, who also got some minor injuries, has been charged with five counts of first-degree attack.

At about 13:35 local time, emergency services were called to reports of an active attack. They quickly secured the area and gave medical help. At first, reports said that several of the victims were in serious condition, but later, officials said that all of them had stabilized.

A police spokesperson said that investigations are still going on and that officials are trying to figure out what happened in full. People have been asked to give any video proof that could help the investigation.

After what happened, school officials said Foss High School would be closed on Friday and would return on Monday. Helpful counseling services will be set up for students and workers who were affected by the attack.

Concerns about school safety have been raised again because of what happened, especially at Foss High School, where a shooting killed someone in 2007.
