Prosecutors allege that D4vd fatally attacked Celeste Rivas Hernandez using a sharp instrument, as detailed in a disturbing new filing

Prosecutors claim that singer D4vd fatally attacked Celeste Rivas Hernandez with a sharp instrument and subsequently mutilated her body in an effort to hide the crime, as detailed in recently submitted court documents from Los Angeles County.

On Monday, prosecutors formally charged the artist with first-degree murder, mutilation of a body, and lewd acts involving a child under 14, detailing the allegations in a comprehensive manner. Officials indicate that the document details their hypothesis regarding Hernandez’s death, having previously revealed only that it was classified as a homicide.

According to investigators, Hernandez visited D4vd’s residence in the Hollywood Hills in April 2025 and subsequently disappeared without a trace. Prosecutors have indicated that they believe the killing took place on April 23, 2025, while asserting that the body was mutilated on May 5.

Officials assert that the dismembered remains of the teen were subsequently found in bags, and the state of the body complicated the Medical Examiner’s ability to quickly ascertain the precise cause of death. Investigators are currently examining a reported trip that D4vd made to a secluded region of Santa Barbara during the same period.

The complaint contains allegations of special circumstances, including lying in wait, financial gain, and the killing of a potential witness. District Attorney Nathan Hochman stated that prosecutors are of the opinion that Hernandez threatened to reveal an alleged sexual relationship, and that the defendant took action to safeguard his career.

Defense attorneys refuted the allegations, informing TMZ that D4vd “was not responsible for her death.”

The singer was taken into custody last week during what authorities characterized as a significant law enforcement initiative. If found guilty of the most serious charge, he may encounter significant consequences under California law.

D4vd is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
