Ray J Faces Backlash After Photographer Alleges Bleeding Eyes Were Merely Staged
Was Ray J’s “bleeding eyes” incident from the weekend staged? One photographer affirms this without a doubt.
The singer has returned to the spotlight following a chaotic Valentine’s Day concert at Shreveport Municipal Auditorium that left fans bewildered. The 45-year-old performer took the stage with what appeared to be blood flowing from his eyes and a monitor affixed to his chest. Nonetheless, a photographer at the event asserts that the moment was entirely theatrical.
Tommy Nard II informed KTAL 6 that he witnessed Ray J apply what he referred to as “fake blood” prior to stepping out in front of the audience.
“He has a deep affection for the camera.” He enjoys being in the spotlight. “Anyone who knows him can see it’s all for show,” Nard remarked. He also mentioned, “I saw him actually apply the fake blood and similar effects, and then go out there with the crowd, which is quite surprising that he would do something like that.”
However, Ray J’s manager, Melinda Santiago, strongly opposed. In a statement, she remarked, “The bottom line is Ray J has faced numerous hospital visits due to health and heart concerns.” That is indeed a fact. It is also important to note that the medications Ray is taking come with certain side effects. She described it as “absurd” for a local videographer to “clout chase for five minutes of fame off of Ray J’s name and make light of Ray being sick.”
The controversy surrounding Ray J’s bleeding eyes emerges just weeks after he revealed that doctors informed him he has only months to live. In January, Ray J expressed, “My heart’s only beating like 25 percent.” He subsequently stated on Instagram Live, “2027 is definitely a wrap for me.”
On January 7, Ray J was admitted to a hospital in Las Vegas due to severe pneumonia and heart pain, having previously faced pneumonia in 2021.
Currently, fans find themselves divided. Was this a display of performance art or a man confronting genuine health challenges for the sake of the show?
