New files suggest that Jeffrey Epstein exploited Naomi Campbell’s name to attract young women
Although Naomi Campbell has minimized her connection to Jeffrey Epstein several times, the damning documents appear to indicate that he might have exploited her name to attract young women into his nefarious realm.
Newly released documents from the U.S. Department of Justice, as reported by The Times, reveal that Epstein was present at Campbell’s 31st birthday party in 2001, lent her his private jet, and maintained contact with her for years following his 2008 conviction for soliciting prostitution from a minor. The records consist of emails and summaries of FBI interviews where Campbell’s name is mentioned over 250 times, though some entries seem to be duplicates. Campbell has not faced any allegations of misconduct.
In 2010, shortly after Epstein finished his 13-month sentence, he was invited to Campbell’s 40th birthday celebration in Cannes. The email allegedly conveyed: “We would truly appreciate your presence, as this is a private gathering for her dearest friends and family.”
According to her attorney, Martin Singer, in a statement to The New York Times, Campbell was not responsible for creating the guest list, and Epstein was not present. Later that year, Epstein received an invitation to a Dolce & Gabbana event in Paris celebrating Campbell’s 25-year career. His account replied, “Jeffrey will come along with two others, if possible.” The singer mentioned that Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell were present for a short time, stating, “they stayed for approximately 20 minutes.”
Emails from 2016 indicate that Campbell requested travel assistance via Epstein’s jet service. A redacted message stated: “Jeffrey is inquiring if you could arrange a charter for Naomi Campbell to travel from NY to Miami tonight and return on Saturday or Sunday!!” According to her legal team, she traveled on Epstein’s plane “on a few occasions, but she never witnessed any inappropriate conduct of any kind.”
Transcripts from victims provide an additional dimension. In 2020, a woman who chose to remain unnamed stated that Epstein had assured her of modeling opportunities and asserted that he was acquainted with Campbell. She claimed that she subsequently encountered Campbell at Epstein’s office. Virginia Giuffre has previously mentioned that Epstein introduced her to Campbell, and she was seen in photographs from the model’s birthday party in 2001.
The singer asserted, “Before Epstein’s arrest in New York in 2019, my client was unaware of his shocking criminal behavior.” If my client had ever come across any young woman she believed was being victimized by Epstein, she would have taken swift action to assist her.
