Joe Budden Declares He’s Finished With Nicki Minaj After Aligning Black Built Equity with Trump: “I Can’t Jive With That”

Joe Budden has unequivocally stated his position, declaring that his relationship with Nicki Minaj is officially over.

In a recent discussion with Shannon Sharpe, Budden openly addressed his decision to distance himself from Nicki Minaj, pointing to her political alignment with Donald Trump as the pivotal factor. Budden characterized the decision as deeply personal, rooted in values, and firmly non-negotiable. Budden asserts that the problem is not merely a matter of political disagreement in the abstract. He concentrated on what he perceives as a trend of celebrities utilizing the influence gained from Black audiences and culture, only to shift that power elsewhere when significant financial opportunities arise.

“There is a significant amount of money over there.” “There will be many more celebrities to cash that check,” Budden stated. “I’ve witnessed individuals evolve and establish multimillion-dollar brands rooted in Black culture, Black individuals, and Black consumerism.” Seeing you take that equity and stand over there, I just can’t agree with that.

Budden refrained from accusing Minaj of any misconduct; however, he expressed that her public alliances have altered his perception of their relationship. He conveyed that he no longer feels in sync with the path she has taken and is withdrawing without any hesitation.

The remarks come as Minaj endures examination regarding her recent political affiliations, which have ignited discussions throughout the music and media realms. Although she has not addressed Budden’s comments publicly, his remarks contribute to an expanding dialogue regarding fame, loyalty, and the decisions artists make about their affiliations.
