Lil Jon’s son has been reported missing in Georgia after he left home on foot without a phone. The family is concerned that he may be disoriented
There is increasing concern in Georgia following the confirmation from authorities that Nathan Smith, the 27-year-old son of Lil Jon, has been reported missing.
The Milton Police Department reports that Nathan, known as Young Slade, was last spotted near Baldwin Drive and Mayfield Road in Milton. Authorities reported that Smith departed from his residence on foot and has yet to come back.
“According to police, [Smith] ran out of his house and has been missing since.” Smith departed on foot and does not have a phone in his possession. He might be confused and require help. His safety is a concern for family and friends.
Earlier that day, Rough Draft Atlanta reported ongoing police activity near Mayfield Park. Although the department referred to it as “an active police matter,” officials did not promptly verify if it was directly linked to Smith’s disappearance.
Officials later highlighted that the situation did not present a threat to residents.
“The public is not in danger,” police stated while informing the community about the search in the area. As of Wednesday, a spokesperson for the Milton Police Department confirmed that Nathan remains unlocated.
Nathan, a performer, has previously discussed forging his own unique creative journey. During a 2025 interview with Big Facts Network, he shared insights about his upbringing with a renowned father and the enduring lessons he learned from that experience.
“It’s interesting because I just see him as Dad, but everyone else sees him as Lil Jon,” he said.
Lil Jon has openly expressed pride in his son’s accomplishments. In a conversation with OK! in 2024, the Atlanta rap icon expressed that working with Nathan on his “Total Meditation” and “Manifest Abundance” projects was “amazing,” further noting, “I’ve given him a lot of advice… he literally got an encyclopedia of music right here.”
The Milton Police Department requests that anyone with information regarding Nathan Smith’s location reach out to them directly via the phone number or email provided in their official announcement.
