Jeezy Celebrates 20 Years of Thug Motivation 101 in Atlanta with the Launch of Community Day

Jeezy celebrates the 20th anniversary of his debut album by giving back to the community in Atlanta.

In East Point, Georgia, Jeezy will throw a sizable community gathering on Saturday to mark the 20th anniversary of his debut album Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101.

He’s focusing on public service instead of a music-only party to commemorate the event.

The occasion, called Community Day, will take place at Impact Church between 12:00 and 4:00 p.m. No registration is needed, and it will be accessible to everyone. The initiative is run by Jeezy’s Street Dreamz Foundation in association with LISC, a nonprofit organization that has invested billions of dollars in underprivileged communities.

More than five hundred kids will get free school materials. Health checks will be available to families, including tests for blood pressure, diabetes, and prostate disorders. There will also be an on-site distribution of about 25,000 pounds of food.

Throughout the day, interactive education booths, job development programs, and mental health resources will be accessible. Each activity will be guided by a digital passport that visitors will receive.

Jeezy stated that trust, dedication, and an understanding that the people on the ground are important are the first steps in creating genuine change in our communities.

A shared vision between the two organizations is shown in the relationship with LISC. The Street Dreamz Foundation has always supported investing in leadership, opportunity, and well-being from the inside out, according to Jeezy. Like us, LISC has the reach, investment instruments, and infrastructure to help us scale what works.

The Urban League will also provide information on financial literacy and housing initiatives as further support.

A year-long outreach campaign begins with this event. Similar initiatives, each specifically designed to assist local businesses and youth, will be implemented in other locations, such as Detroit and Cincinnati.

“We’re implementing a number of activations aimed at meeting people where they are over the course of the upcoming year,” Jeezy stated. “These are not isolated incidents; rather, they are stepping stones to long-term prosperity, opportunity, and economic mobility.”

The publication date of Thug Motivation 101 was July 26, 2005. After making its debut at the top of Billboard’s R&B and Rap charts, it went on to go double platinum. Jeezy claims that the record became an anthem for tenacity and individual aspirations, which still influence his work.

“From brands to funders to local leaders, we invite our partners to walk with us,” he stated. Because it’s more than just a campaign. It’s a movement. And the community’s heart is what drives it.
